Transforming Health Through Partnerships – Lighthouse Life Science

How can multi-sector partnerships create better health outcomes and scalable innovation models for Europe? Join us for a full-day track at WHINN – Week of Health and Innovation 2025 and explore how the Danish Lighthouse Life Science initiative is redefining health innovation through strategic partnerships, public-private collaboration, and community-driven solutions.
Transforming Health Through Partnerships – Lighthouse Life Science is a full-day event track at WHINN 2025, designed to showcase how Denmark’s national Lighthouse Life Science model accelerates innovation and delivers both health and economic value.
The programme is divided into two key sessions:
Morning – Foundations and Case Examples
We begin with a series of speed talks highlighting successful pilot projects and innovation by small and medium enterprises within the Lighthouse ecosystem. These cases demonstrate the measurable value of co-creation and partnership models across public, private, and academic sectors. Following this, an in-depth presentation of the Lighthouse Life Science framework is presented including its vision, governance structure, and results from over 40 projects targeting mental health and healthy weight.
Afternoon – Scaling the Partnership Model
The afternoon focuses on global perspectives from international speakers: how the Lighthouse partnership model is being adapted, scaled, and transferred internationally. We’ll explore export opportunities, international collaboration, and structural innovation to drive long-term societal and economic impact. The day concludes with a high-level panel debate on implementing partnership-based innovation frameworks in diverse systems and contexts.
