New International Network for Cyber Security in Hospitals is on its way
Together with a number of strong Danish and international partners, the Danish Life Science Cluster is working to create a new network that will focus on balancing cyber security with innovation and competition in the healthcare sector.
Data is one of the keys to a sustainable and personal healthcare system with the patient and healthcare professionals at the centre. Digitalization and data-based care is a priority, and it places enormous demands on data and cybersecurity.
Therefore, a number of strong partners have joined forces to create a network that will focus on, among other things, the escalating global threats and stricter regulations that create unique challenges for hospitals and healthcare providers.
– This network is unique because it is the first of its kind, and it is highly relevant in light of the new Ministry of Civil Protection and Emergency Preparedness. In addition, it is groundbreaking that we have managed to gather such strong partners, says Karen Lindegaard, international coordinator in the Danish Life Scinece Cluster and coordinator of the International Network for Cyber Security at Hospitals (ICH).
The partners are CenSec, DigitalLead and Innovation Centre Denmark in Boston.
Attend workshops, study visits, and seminars on cybersecurity
The goal of the International Network for Cyber Security in Hospitals is to bring together Danish and international stakeholders to tackle critical vulnerabilities and promote innovation in the healthcare sector. The network strives to strengthen international collaboration and share insights that will help protect our health systems from future cyber threats.
The network will focus on key topics such as:
- Cyber security – when human lives are at stake
- Balancing cybersecurity with innovation and competition
- AI-powered cyber risk management in healthcare
- National prioritisation of cyber risks in the healthcare sector
- Effective Cybersecurity Management in Healthcare
Partners and stakeholders can participate in the network’s upcoming activities, including workshops, study visits and online seminars.
The network will apply for funding through the Global Innovation Network Programme under the Ministry of Higher Education and Science.
The hope is that the network can be finally launched in early 2025.
