Strategy of Danish Life Science Cluster

A nation committed to sustainable life science from 2022 to 2025. We strive to compete with the best clusters in the world within life science and welfare technology and to collaborate with key stakeholders to promote Danish life science and welfare technology internationally.

Danish Life Science Cluster is a national cluster for life science and welfare technology cluster in Denmark. It was established in 2021 as a neutral and independent platform that ties together the ecosystem across the country as a unified hub internally in Denmark and externally globally. The aim is to strengthen the cooperation and the connection between companies, knowledge institutions and the healthcare system so that the Danish research within life science and welfare technology is converted into new and better commercial solutions for the benefit of companies, the healthcare system, municipalities, and citizens throughout the country.

The strategy is developed through close interaction and cooperation with the members of the cluster. It focuses on gathering the forces in the ecosystem and establishing national initiatives with an international perspective, which makes a measurable difference to the overall ecosystem.

The focus areas of the strategy are to strengthen the collaboration models and to seize the global trends that characterize our healthcare sector so companies can unfold their full potential and enhance competitiveness both nationally and internationally.

To realize the strategy’s ambitious initiatives requires engagement from the entire ecosystem, which is why all stakeholders are invited to collaborate.
