Chongqing Hybrid-event about Innovative Intelligent Logistics

China has approved a new healthcare investment plan that differs from previous plans by focusing at providing quality healthcare to all districts.

To narrow in the geographic focus, the latest “Guiding Opinions on Optimizing the Construction of Tertiary Hospitals in the City” issued by the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission and other four departments, Chongqing will build 90 tertiary hospitals by 2025.

Each Districts and counties should have at least one Grade A hospital to increase the supply of high-quality medical resources.

This is just one example of Chinese political priorities which leads to opportunities for Nordic strongholds in advanced and innovative medical devices and solutions at Chinese hospital sites.

Joint Nordic collaboration on specific needs and requirements in China

Nordic Innovation has supported a joint Nordic collaboration project that allow the Nordic China-based export officials to gain a thorough understanding of specific needs and requirements. These concrete opportunities will be communicated to Nordic companies in order for them to sell their solutions to these new hospitals in the selected display cities.

Targeted pitch opportunity

In this context a targeted pitch opportunity is now offered for companies that provide solutions within the field of healing architecture and innovative logistic solutions. The companies will pitch their solution to a board of hospital directors (approximately 40) that are directly involved in planning and executing the construction of the new hospitals. After the pitch there will be a follow-up meeting with the export officers who will provide a feedback on pitch, product, opportunities and next step. All the companies will listen in on each other during both pitch session and feedback session.

There will be 6 companies selected for each pitch session. The companies will be selected on criteria such as innovation level, match to the topic and experience (their solutions should be implemented in hospitals in at least 2-3 countries).

The companies should propose themselves at the latest on September 27th to Karen Lindegaard (karli@danishlifesciencecluster.dk).

The proposal should be accompanied by a slide-deck developed for a 10 min pitch that will be simultaneously translated (hence 5 minutes pitch). The slide deck should present one or two past successful cases (what is the situation, what are the actions, what are the achievements, what is the result) as detailed as possible. Pictures and videos are highly preferred.

Expected outcome from Chongqing/Chengdu Events for Nordic companies

• Presentation of a collection of Nordic medical technology and solutions utilized in the construction of modern hospitals which will be circulated throughout the project year in any relevant conferences, seminars, meetings, and webinars with Chinese stakeholders/government departments/organizations
• Profiling and exposure of Nordic technologies and solutions utilized in new and modern hospitals
• Identify interests of Chongqing/Chengdu public hospitals (which have new hospital construction plans) in Nordic solutions
